For the last 20+ years Bert has been working exclusively in learning and expanding his knowlege of the Greater New Orleans area real estate market. He began working by showing apartments for Howard Schmalz for Howard's company Howard Schmalz and Associates. During his time with Howard he moved up the ranks in the company from working part time showing apartments to becoming a full agent and property manager. As property manager he learned everything about repairing and maintaining New Orleans homes and rental property. He worked along side Howard up until April 2015 when Howard retired and Bert started Bert Brown and Associates Real Estate LLC and with the iconic banana leaf sign as a tribute to his mentor. Since the opening of his new company Bert has strived to keep up the high standards of his mentor and friend along with growing the business now larger then it has ever been!

Since February 2016 Cal has been a member of the Bert Brown and Associates Real Estate team participating in sales, leasing, and property management. He comes to the team with problem solving skills and leadership abilities to keep our workmen moving and on track. While keeping up the high standards of work by the property management team of Bert Brown and Associates he is also active in the sale of homes in the Greater New Orleans area!
